FLY(ER)™♛
A feed where the words do the work.
FLY(er) is a live network built ground-up by Jöí Fabü — artist, creator, and owner. Fly is old slang for the coolest in the room. The (er) sits in brackets because that part is yours: pick a handle, and you're one too.
Posts here are called Flights. Send one or a whole thread, message anyone in real time, build your own feeds, start a Charter, and see what's moving on Explore. Everything you do earns points.
Reach 10,000 points and unlock 77 premium avatars nobody else can wear.
Plus animated companions and perks that stay locked for everyone else.
You found it
There are points hidden across this site.
Not only in the network. On every page, in the tools, tucked behind things you would only find by looking.
- Go looking No list and no map. Open things, use the tools, wander. They are scattered on purpose.
- Watch for the notice When it appears, the points are already on your profile. Nothing to claim.
- Once a day each The same find will not pay twice. Come back tomorrow, or try a page you have not been to.
These are the same points that unlock the 77 premium avatars.
Anyone can look. Only a signed-in account can collect them. Create your handle below.
It is already an app. You just have not installed it.
Full screen, own icon, no address bar, straight into the radar.
FLY(er)TM 10.1 What's new
Release notes
How FLY(er) took flight.
Every update, from the very first flight to today.
-
10.1
Sharing, sharpened NewLatest
Every flight now has a short link of its own, like getflyer.app/f/k7xq2mz, and every link you have already shared still works. The message that goes with it reads cleanly too: who posted it, their words in quotes, and the link on its own line, with long flights trimmed neatly. The Share window shows exactly what your friends will see before you send it.
-
10.0.2
Every song in the catalog Fixed
The song list in the composer now keeps going as you scroll, instead of stopping after the first few. Search finds every song that has loaded.
-
10.0.1
Lighter and faster Improved
FLY(er) now rests when you are not using it. Head to another page of the site, or put the app in the background, and it stops working behind the scenes. Pages switch faster, the site stays smooth, and your battery lasts longer.

Major update
Moments, song drops and more reasons to bring your people
A few seconds of what is happening, the music behind your words, and something back for everyone who brings a friend.
- Moments. Short words on a bold colour, gone in 24 hours. They sit in a row at the top of the radar with a gold ring when there is something new. Tap through at your own pace, hold to pause, and see who has viewed yours.
- Song drops. Tap the music note in the composer and add any song from the catalog to your flight. It plays right there on the flight, with its own play button and progress bar, and pauses the site player so nothing ever plays over the top.
- Invite friends, earn points. Everyone now has a personal invite link in Settings. When a friend joins with it, you both get 5 points, and you can see how many people have joined through you.
- Share your profile. A share button on every profile gives you a short getflyer.app link that opens straight to it.
- While you were away. Been gone a while? The best new flights from people you follow are waiting at the top, then it gets out of the way.
- Your week on FLY(er). Every Sunday and Monday, your week in one place: views, likes, replies, new followers and your top flight, with a card made for sharing.
FLY(er) 9 Find your people 3 updates
-
9.2
Switch accounts New
Keep up to five accounts signed in on the same phone and move between them in one tap from Settings. Add another whenever you like, and sign any of them out of the device on its own.
-
9.1
More control, your way New
Sort your saved flights into folders of your own. Hide the like counts on your flights if you would rather people did not see them; you still can. Sort any conversation by oldest or newest replies. See every ReFlight of a flight in one place. And add a website to your profile, shown with a preview of the page.
-
9.0
Major update
Explore
One tap to everything worth seeing. The compass at the top opens it.
- What is moving. Trending tags, the most popular flights of the last two days, flyers worth following and charters to join, all in one place, with search for people and tags at the top.
- Community notes. Spot a flight that leaves something out? Add a note with the context and a source. Other flyers rate notes, and the ones found helpful by people with different points of view are shown under the flight.
- Messages in real time. Messages, reactions and Seen now arrive the moment they happen, with a typing indicator while someone is writing back. Tap any message to react.
- Notifications that tell you more. Likes, ReFlights and milestones, like a flight passing 1,000 views, now reach your bell, grouped so ten likes read as one line. Choose which ones you want in Settings.
FLY(er) 8 Say more 11 updates
-
8.6
Lists New
Build your own feeds from the accounts you choose, like artists, producers or close friends. Each list opens as its own radar, newest first. Add someone from their profile in one tap. Lists are private: only you see them, and nobody is told they were added.
-
8.5
Analytics New
See how your flights are doing. Tap the views on any of your own flights for likes, replies, shares, ReFlights, saves, engagement and two weeks of daily views. Settings has the bigger picture: 7, 28 or 90 days of views, new followers and your top flights. Only you see your numbers.
-
8.4
Threads New
Have more to say? Add up to ten flights to one thread and post them together, in order. Every part carries a small Thread tag, and opening any of them shows the whole story.
-
8.3.1
Messages, tidied Fixed
The empty Messages screen lines up properly, and closing Messages puts you back exactly where you were on the page.
-
8.3
Direct messages New
Private conversations, only between the two of you. Start one from the envelope at the top or the Message button on any profile. Your message shows Seen once it has been read, and you can unsend your own. Choose who can message you: everyone, people you follow, or no one. Blocking always stops messages, and you can report or block right inside a chat.
-
8.2.1
A cleaner composer Improved
The tools under the composer are now small gold icons, who can reply sits on one quiet line, and Post Flight lights up once you have written something. Polls have their own box for the question, and the date in the schedule picker sits where it should.
-
8.2
Scheduled flights New
Write it now, post it later. Pick a time up to 60 days ahead and your flight goes out on its own, with the reply setting you chose. Change the time, post it early or cancel it from Settings.
-
8.1
Conversations on your terms New
Choose who can reply to each flight: everyone, people you follow, or only people you mention. Hide replies you do not want under your flight. Change your mind about a post in the five seconds after you send it with Undo. Every flight now shows how many people have seen it. And if something breaks the rules, report the flight or the account from the menu on any flight.
-
8.0.2
Stronger account protection Improved
Too many wrong passwords or recovery PINs in a row now pause sign-in for a while, so nobody can keep guessing their way into your account.
-
8.0.1
Links that work all the way Fixed
Links with extra parts, like a YouTube link that starts at a certain time, now open in full. A full stop or bracket right after a link is no longer treated as part of it, and long links are shortened so they are easier to read.
-
8.0
Major update
Your radar, your way
Keep what matters, put your best flight first, and see where a link goes before you tap it.
- Save flights. Tap the bookmark on any flight to keep it. Only you can see what you save.
- Pin a flight. Put one of your flights at the top of your profile, where everyone sees it first.
- Mute words. Flights that mention a word, phrase or tag you have muted fold away, with a Show link if you change your mind.
- Link previews. Links in flights show a card with the page's title and image. Songs and videos from YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Vimeo and TikTok get their own.
- Short links. Shared flights now use getflyer.app, with a proper preview wherever you post them.
FLY(er) 7 Rooms of your own 2 updates
-
7.0.1
Updated Terms Improved
The Terms now cover private accounts and charters: what stays public whatever you choose, and what a shared invite link actually does. Everyone is asked to read them once. The version and the date it came into effect sit at the top, so you always know which one you agreed to.
-
7.0
Major update
Charters
You already fly. A charter is not an upgrade, because there is nothing above where you are. It is what you take when your own jet is in the shop and you still have somewhere to be. Same altitude, chosen company, no terminal.
- Start one in a minute. Name it, say what it is for, and choose who can see it. Public charters any flyer can find and join, or private ones that are invite only or open to requests you decide on.
- Every charter is its own room. Open one and the radar becomes that charter and nothing else. Leave and you are back where you were. No more scrolling one feed looking for the conversation you wanted.
- The composer knows where you are. Write inside a charter and the box wraps in that charter's colour and says where the flight is going, so nothing ever lands in the wrong room.
- Make it yours. Ten looks, house rules and a line about what it is for. At ten thousand points, a banner image and a colour of your own.
- Share it. A public charter has a link built from its name. A private one can have an invite link you switch on and off, and switching it off and on again makes a new one, which stops the old one working.
- What is said in a charter stays there. Flights posted inside one never appear on the public radar, whoever wrote them.
FLY(er) 6 Profiles that live 17 updates
-
6.7
Private accounts New
Turn your account private in Settings and your flights leave the public radar. Only flyers you have approved can read them, on your profile. Your avatar, bio and handle stay visible to everyone, so people can still find you and ask. Requests wait for you to allow or decline, and declining tells them nothing. Switch back whenever you like and everything you ever wrote comes straight back.
-
6.6.1
Change or take down your own flight New
Fix a flight after posting it, or remove it. Edits stay open for fifteen minutes, longer once you have earned the (er). An edited flight says so, with what it said before one tap away. Nothing is quietly rewritten.
-
6.6
ReFlight and polls New
Carry someone else's flight onto your own radar with a word of your own above it. ReFlight a ReFlight and it carries the original rather than the one in the middle. And ask the radar something: up to four answers, bars that fill as votes land, and you can change your mind while it is open. Nobody sees who chose what. Not even the artist.
-
6.5
A feed that holds still Improved
Liking something no longer rebuilds the feed under your thumb. Times count up as you read. The radar remembers where you were when you come back from a flight. Replies appear the moment you send them, and reply counts are right without a refresh. Search the words inside flights now, not just handles and tags, and get back to the top in one tap. The feed keeps going as you scroll, and a flight opened from a link lands on the flight itself instead of the top of the page.
-
6.4.4
The search box Improved
The clear button only turns up once there is something to clear. The prompt inside reads as a prompt now rather than looking like text somebody already typed, and it says what it actually looks through.
-
6.4.3
Back on your home screen Fixed
The home screen app had stopped opening. Every avatar in both collections was loading at once in the background, which is more than an installed app is given room for. They now arrive as you scroll to them, so it stays light and opens the way it should. If yours still will not launch, remove it from your home screen and add it again.
-
6.4.2
Steadier while you edit Fixed
Editing your bio no longer shifts the page around as it opens. The avatar picker now sits above the music player instead of over it, so you can change track without closing it first.
-
6.4.1
Small repairs Fixed
Editing your bio now opens right where your bio is, instead of below your playlist, and it opens with what you already wrote in it rather than empty. The character counter follows your own limit rather than everybody else's.
-
6.4
Your profile, tidied Improved
Followers, following and points moved up under your handle, where you look first, and your points are set in gold. Tap your own picture to change your avatar: both collections live behind it now instead of filling the page. Top 8 is one line you can swipe. Editing your bio is a small pencil in the corner of the box rather than a button below it, and changing your password moved into Settings with everything else.
-
6.3
Earn the (er) New
Everyone on this network is fly. Ten thousand points earns you the (er). A gold 10K sits beside your handle on every flight and on your profile, bold, italic and five typefaces open up in the composer, and your flights get twice the room: a thousand characters instead of five hundred, more again if you're verified. Your flights also stand a better chance of being seen, though never a guarantee. There's a quiet line in the composer showing how close you are.
-
6.2
Hashtags New
Put a # in front of a word and it becomes a way in. Tap any tag in any flight and the radar fills with everything using it. Search has a Hashtags tab now, showing how many flights and how many members are behind each one. Seven tags to a flight, because a wall of tags helps nobody, and FLY(er) quietly works out how much each tag really has to do with what you wrote. Tags, mentions and links also read as one thing now: the same size and weight as the rest of your words, just a different colour.
-
6.1.2
Facing the right way Fixed
A couple of companions walked one way while looking the other. They now face wherever they are headed.
-
6.1.1
One at a time Fixed
Choosing a premium companion now retires your standard one on its own. No more two scenes competing for the same spot.
-
6.1
The seven New
Seven companions who live somewhere else entirely: penthouses, clifftop terraces, decks over open water. They walk their own floor and carry themselves like they own it. Ten thousand points opens all seven, and every room they live in.
-
6.0.2
Quiet when you look away Improved
Scenes pause the moment they leave your screen and pick up again when they come back, so nothing runs down your battery in the background.
-
6.0.1
Every screen, every size Fixed
Scenes now fit the width they are given, from the narrowest phone to a desktop window, and stay sharp on high-resolution displays.
-
6.0
Major update
Companions
Your profile stopped being a page. Now it is a place, and something lives there.
- A world under your Top 8. A small scene plays out below your circle, in its own strip, with no frame around it.
- Choose who lives there. A repair robot, a pet of your own, both together, or a squad of rovers. Twelve pets, from a dog to an elephant.
- Six places to live. Meadow, forest, autumn, winter, desert or castle grounds. Pick one or let it surprise you.
- Never the same twice. Hundreds of scenes, one chosen at random every time your profile opens, each ending exactly where it began.
- Off is off. Leave it switched off and the space closes up completely.
FLY(er) 5 The social era 10 updates
-
5.6
Top 8 and your circle New

-
5.5
Lighting New
Choose Light, Dark or Spotlight in Settings. Spotlight dims the room and brings in slow red-carpet beams from both sides. Your choice follows you to every device.
-
